Personnel grounding testing

Personal grounding testing is used to verify that ESD wrist straps, footwear and the person–footwear–floor system provide proper grounding of the operator. Testers allow quick checks before entering an EPA area as well as regular verification of the functionality of protective elements. When choosing a suitable solution, it is important to consider whether you need to test wrist straps, footwear, both at the same time, or control access to a protected area.

Products in Personnel grounding testing are suited to EPA benches, service stations, production lines and mobile workstations, where electrostatic risks need to be controlled without making daily work unnecessarily complicated. Grounding components should work simply and repeatedly in daily use without creating weak points in the ESD setup. When choosing, compare resistance, connector type, cable length, connection method, mechanical durability and workstation compatibility; for larger sites, availability, documentation and regular verification are also important.
