Personnel grounding in an EPA

Personnel grounding continuously removes electrostatic charge from a person handling ESDS items. The chosen method must suit the person’s movement and the type of workplace.

Personnel grounding methods

Seated operators commonly use wrist straps, while mobile personnel may use ESD footwear or heel grounders together with suitable flooring. The system must be verified regularly and users trained in correct use.
