ESDS – Electrostatic Discharge Sensitive item

ESDS means Electrostatic Discharge Sensitive. It describes a component, device or assembly that may be damaged by electrostatic discharge.

Handling ESDS items

Sensitivity varies between components. Handling, storage, packaging and transport must therefore be based on the actual item and the ESD control programme, not merely on a general label.

See What is ESDS? for a fuller explanation.
