ESD-safe and ESD-suitable are broad terms for products or materials intended for an ESD-controlled environment. Neither term is a single, precisely defined electrical parameter.
How ESD suitability is assessed
Actual product properties, intended use, measurement conditions and the requirements of the specific ESD control programme all matter. A product suitable for one application may not be suitable for another, so always check the data sheet and the complete system.
