Dissipative material in ESD control
A dissipative material allows charge to be removed in a more controlled way than a highly conductive material. It is used where charge accumulation must be limited without creating an excessively rapid discharge.
Where it is used
Dissipative properties may be specified for work surfaces, mats, flooring, garments, foams and packaging. Suitability depends on measured performance, grounding and the intended use within the ESD control programme.
