A conductive material allows electrical charge to move relatively easily. Its surface can therefore reach the potential of a connected grounding point quickly.
Use of conductive materials
Conductive materials are used in equipment, packaging and connections where a reliable charge path is needed. Conductivity alone does not guarantee safe use: suitability depends on integration into the full system, current limiting and the requirements of the process.
